Located in a restored shophouse, this popular restaurant sets the tone for Italian elegance with rich hues, fine antique cabinets and artworks.
This 16-year-old restaurant delivers fine Italian fare with flair. Make a good start with the affetato misto, an inviting platter of beautifully cured meats including prosciutto ham, bresaola (air-dried beef) and spicy salame (meat sausage). The sautéed scallops are delicious, served in a hot, creamy and garlic-mushroom sauce with truffle oil. The insalata caprese (sliced tomato salad with fresh buffalo mozzarella) gets a lift with basil and oregano. Among the various homemade pastas is the moon-shaped ravioli with pumpkin in an exquisite roasted red pepper sauce. The mains include the full-flavoured pan-fried beef tenderloin with foie gras and the sole with a delicate yet tangy lemon sauce. End with the light panna cotta or share a decadent chocolate lava seduction.
