A cosy Italian restaurant at the Sarabia Manor Hotel and Convention Centre, a well-known family-owned hotel in Iloilo City. Its minimal yet elegant interiors are very welcoming, setting the tone for a relaxed dining experience.
The Ilongga chef Pauline Gorriceta-Banusing started the casual Italian-themed restaurant in this rather laid-back city, offering great selections on an Italian-inspired menu. For a light start, the grilled steak salad with Romaine lettuce is scrumptious, owing to the flavoursome thin slices of meat and the caesar dressing on the side. Strudel di pastrami is a heavy antipasto but having it in small portions will do the trick in exciting your palate for more. The creamy butternut squash soup is a bit too heavy with the seasoning and should be skipped so as not to upset your dining experience. Steak Florentine is said to be the restaurant’s best-seller. Although prepared in thin slices it is perfectly done mid-well and its seasoning just right; though more akin to Filipino flavours. The baked pink salmon is regretfully too dry and bland. Instead, opt for the rigatoni arrabiata, which is satisfying even in small portions, and won’t disappoint diners looking for something vegetarian on the menu. Finish off your meal with the reasonable coffee selection.
